The company is interested and wishes to prequalify for tendering prime construction contracts.

Subcontracting Policies

For most of the major projects the company has completed over the years, and for the projects currently being constructed, a small percentage of the scope of work is subcontracted. The company has adopted and developed a policy of subcontracting only specialised portions of work where it is not practical to continuously maintain expertise, equipment and skilled labour for which only occasional and short term need exists. The company has built up a following of subcontractors known for their ability to complete commitments properly and on time and who cooperate and fit into the company’s operating project team.

Joint Venture Policy

In recent years, construction projects in Bahrain have increased in complexity. To minimize the risk inherent in undertaking such projects for the conventional fixed lumpsum basis, the company has established a policy to participate in joint ventures – most often as a sponsor – with other highly respected international contractors.
